Sometimes it’s the simplest concept that really grabs attention. That’s the case with this great campaign from Leo Burnett in Chicago (h/t @simplyviral).

According to the agency’s Cannes Lions awards submission, this ‘Windy City Fries’ initiative was “a component piece to a broader advertising program that drove a 23% rise in fry sales in downtown Chicago stores.”

McDonald’s also used cabs to launch their New York-style burger in Hong Kong earlier this year. They sent a fleet of New York city ‘Yellow Cabs’ around Hong Kong offering free rides to the nearest McDonald’s restaurant and a coupon to sample the new burger…clever.
