This could get old quickly if you had to listen to it on every flight but fair play to the Cebu Pacific Air flight attendants for making the in-flight safety demonstration far more interesting. They danced their way through the safety demo to Lady GaGa’s Just Dance and Katy Perry’s California Gurls.
This shows that with a little creativity and by using very simple techniques, such as adding a catchy backing track, even the most boring things can be made more engaging.
It’s a clever marketing move for the Airline. One ‘quick draw McGraw’ passenger recorded the crew’s performance and posted the video to YouTube. The video has chalked up over 7million views since it was posted on September 30th.
The airline hired a choreographer to help the crew with their moves but it’s a pity they didn’t have the foresight to properly record the performance and release it online.
Candice Iyog, vice President of Marketing at Cebu Pacific Airlines, told GMANewsTV: “Cebu Pacific has always been known as a fun airline, we wanted to get the message across to our customers that flight safety doesn’t have to be boring.
“This was an experiment that we hope to repeat and also a chance to showcase the talent of some of our cabin crew staff.”
